By means of the prelude in F minor (BWV 857) the work Praeludium deconstructs the still persistent impact of Johann Sebastian Bach’s oeuvre on the global north’s aesthetic sensation. The work shows Jacob Bussmann‘s face and hands playing the prelude from The Well-Tempered Clavier on an organ. The image as well as the sound are slowed down to their almost stillstand, both creating a Tableau vivant between photography and moving image and a sound audible within low-frequency range and even infrasound.
