Song of None (WT) uses moving found footage to reflect a specifically human perception: the recording gaze and its archive, the memory that outlasts those who supply it, the search of the world, and the camera that remains. At the same time, it explores simultaneity, the interplay of forms and structures, light, colors and shadows, proportions and perspectives, rhythms and movements—both within the found footage itself and through its montage and, ultimately, the multi-channel composition as a whole.

The found footage used for this work comes from various private and public archives, including the Cal Fire Museum (San Bernardino, CA/US), the California State Archives (Sacramento, CA/US), the NASA/Johnson Space Center (Houston, TX/US), the Prelinger Archives (San Francisco, CA/US), the Orange County Archives (Santa Ana, CA/US), and the UC San Diego Library (La Jolla, CA/US).
