Working from a digital database of "Provisoria" developed with one of her sons, Verhaeghe tracks recurring image typologies across time. She translates these patterns into embroidered graphs that function as poetic visual statistics.
Stitched onto paper, canvas, or second hand table linens, the works resemble landscapes of coloured threads. Each colour corresponds to a category within the archive. The slow act of embroidery becomes a form of empathic thinking that evokes histories of waiting and domestic labour. Rather than precise data visualisation, the works transform numerical patterns into tactile forms of reflection.
