The Offal series takes the form of punching bag–like sculptures scaled to the artist’s torso. Though they appear heavy, resembling concrete or stone, they are constructed from papier-mâché and thin steel armatures. Their surfaces are built from texts that shaped Dudek’s adolescence, including the Bible, subcultural fanzines, art history books, and football-related documents. The works recall injuries sustained during his years as a football supporter, registering impact and vulnerability. Like Dudek’s mixed-media paintings, Offal operates between abstraction and specificity, carrying memory through material, weight, and form rather than narrative.
