TR: "When I cleaned out my mothers house after she died and took a wooden crafts heart off the wall , the heart shaped stain remained, it’s all from her smoking, the nicotine stains were so bad all over the house it was virtually impossible to paint over it. I’m certain it’s this experience that led years later to the nicotine works I would make. This was 2003, I made the first nicotine work in 2006 or 7."
