Opening Harlan Levey Projects 1080 in Damn Magazine

"For several reasons, the opening of this new space is exemplary for the unique way that Harlan Levey and his wife and co-founder, Winnie Kwok, run a gallery. Since the opening of the first project space in 2012, the gallery has invested a lot in the local cultural scene. Their community- oriented approach led to the opening of a new gallery in Ixelles (HLP 1050) in 2015, and is set to continue in this second venue in Molenbeek. The gallery is situated in a neighbourhood that is still undervalued, yet home to a lot of cultural institutions and players, such as Kanal and MIMA. The choice of Molenbeek as a setting is also part of the gallery’s striving to be embedded in the local cultural scene, while continuing to be relevant on an international level."

Thank you to Damn Magazine for writing about the opening of our new space Harlan Levey Projects 1080 and Marcin Dudek's inaugural exhibition Slash & Burn II.
