Group exhibition and symposium at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp

Emmanuel Van der Auwera has been invited to participate in ARTICULATE 2024 I ANONYMOUS CREATIVITY - ART WITHOUT ARTISTS, the annual research festival of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. On October 17th, from 10:00 to 17:00, he will be part of a symposium called "Techno/seen: on the technological apparatus and its images", alongside Franziska Kunze, Michael Reisch, Spiros Hadjidjanos, Susan Morris, Jeff Weber, and Mona Hedayati.

Together, they will reflect on the impact of image-making technologies on the visual arts, from the invention of photography to our present-day. Also the 17th, following the talks, there will be the opening of Reproducibility, a group show at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, exploring the same themes which were discussed during the day.

 

Emmanuel Van der Auwera will be presenting some works of his new series X (a picture is worth a thousand words) there, alongside Alice Channer, Elisa Giardina Papa, Wade Guyton, Spiros Hadjidjanos, Holly Herndon & Mat Dryhurst, Benjamin Lallier, Sarah Meyohas, Mimi Ọnụọha, Seth Price, Michael Reisch, Thomas Ruff, Philippe Starck, Jenna Sutela, Kelley Walker, and Nushin Yazdani.
