Sheida Soleimani is presenting a selection of works in Home/Land, a duo exhibition at Baxter St, New York, curated by Zoraida Lopez-Diago. The exhibition explores themes of belonging, displacement, and identity through a powerful combination of photography, sculpture, and performance. Soleimani’s work uses the symbolism of wildlife rehabilitation to explore activism and the trauma of conflict, focusing on the shared experiences of families affected by war. In Home/Land, she addresses the personal and geopolitical histories that shape our understanding of migration, legacy, and healing, positioning nature as a metaphor for care and regeneration.
