For Art Brussels 2025, we are pleased to announce a solo presentation of new works by Emmanuel Van der Auwera, featuring the latest iterations of his ongoing Memento series alongside new VideoSculptures. This presentation will also introduce a significant multi-year project investigating the conspiracy theories surrounding the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
This research-based project will culminate in a major exhibition at BPS22 in 2026, comprising a comprehensive survey of Van der Auwera’s practice to date, accompanied by a new large-scale Video Installation currently in development.
Next to his solo presentation, Emmanuel Van der Auwera’s film White Cloud (2023) will be part of the new art project The Screen. The artwork will be shown at "The Tribune" on Saturday, 26 April at 12:30 pm, with three looped screenings, each lasting 20 minutes.
Emmanuel Van der Auwera will also be part of the curated presentation by the Belgian Art Prize at Art Brussels.
Art Brussels will take place from 24 to 27 April 2025 at Brussels Expo.
