Amélie Bouvier is showing Quadrivium II in the festival Les Safra'Numériques 2025, from March 18th to 22nd. This festival takes place at the cultural center Le Safran, in Amiens, France.
"Constellations in music.
Inspired by the concepts of Johannes Kepler and Boethius' quadrivium, both of which explore the link between geometry, music and astronomy, the artist seeks to capture the sounds of the starry sky. Using telescopic images collected at the Antoine Thomas Astronomical Observatory in Namur, Amélie Bouvier creates celestial notes via a mechanical music box and a cylinder of perforated paper, where light and sound mingle to represent a cosmos in perpetual motion."
