Emmanuel Van der Auwera is showing White Cloud at the Jeu de Paume, Paris, as part of the screening program accompanying their current exhibition, "Le Monde Selon l'IA" (The World According to AI).
Conceived by Alice Leroy, a film critic and researcher in visual studies, this screening program explores the material and social dimensions of artificial intelligence. It moves away from the common representations in commercial cinema that reduce AI to a mere replica of the human brain or an abstract, disembodied entity.
Through documentary, experimental, and artistic films, this cycle deconstructs technophile myths and proposes alternative narratives, questioning the "artificial" nature of AI and expanding our understanding of intelligence. Each session begins with an older film, offering a retrospective perspective on contemporary issues.
The short film will be screened on Saturday, April 12th, at 14:30.
