"The Belgian art scene crosses borders and sets out to meet the Marseille public.
Ten artists from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation are exhibiting their works in Marseille, alongside two local artists invited for the occasion.

"Tipping Point" refers to that moment when a society reaches a point of no return, irreversibly shifting toward a new configuration. Today, this feeling of rupture is omnipresent: climate upheaval, the acceleration of digital technologies, and political polarization, among others, generate growing anxiety about the future.

Under the name "Tipping Point", the exhibition brings together ten artists from the French-speaking Belgian art scene as well as two artists from Marseille, all of whose works share a strong physical presence. Some are inspired by the digital world or virtual reality, transposing it into a tangible materiality; others interrogate physical materials—their texture, their visual and tactile qualities. In all cases, this embodied presence is paired with a cold, anxious emotion, resonating with the transformations of a humanity in flux.

Faced with a world that seems to be slipping through our fingers, these artists—whether intentionally or not—capture the essence of this tipping point. And above all, through their practices, they open up alternative paths for us.

Participating artists: Stephan Balleux, Maëlle Dufour, Charlotte Gautier Van Tour, Amandine Guruceaga, Eva L’Hoest, Gérard Meurant, Sabrina Montiel-Soto, Mountaincutters, Stéphanie Roland, Jonathan Sullam, Anna Safiatou Touré, Emmanuel Van der Auwera."
