In Amélie Bouvier's series of drawings “Magnetic Enlightenment”, the subject is simultaneously constructed and deconstructed; the multiple shapes splayed across the paper are in fact various shadows from the same source: a piece of the Sikhote-Alin meteorite. Adopting strategies that mimic mechanical repetitions, Bouvier evokes different possible narratives around the same object or story, suggesting the existence of moments in science where error is inevitable and often invisible.
